Pritch has no fear of the drop
ALEX PRITCHARD claims that Huddersfield can handle the pressure of their relegation fight.
The midfielder, 24, and his Terriers team-mates know tens of millions are at stake as they bid to avoid making an immediate return to the Championship.
But he insisted they are playing without fear after beating Bournemouth 4-1 to climb out of the drop zone.
“It was a massive result,” said the £11million signing from Norwich, who scored and claimed an assist on his home debut.
“It was needed with the run we’ve had. It was a great feeling for me to score and it’s a big weight off my shoulders.
“We need to keep our confidence up now. We’ve been saying for the last couple of days just be fearless, and we were.”
Huddersfield play six teams in the bottom half of the table in their next seven matches and Pritchard knows this is their opportunity to open up a gap on the drop zone.
He added: “These next seven games are massive.
“Winning was a big boost before heading to West Brom on Saturday in our next league game where we must put in a performance.”
