Parliament in powder scare

COUNTER-terror police probed a package of white powder sent to Amber Rudd at the Houses of Parliament yesterday.

Staff went “into a panic” when the package was opened by a member of the Home Secretary’s team while she was in the US.

The Ministerial corridor was evacuated but the powder was “found to be non-harmful”, a Commons spokesman said.
