Thunderbirds fave Parker is yours for £7k
A THUNDERBIRDS marionette is expected to fetch up to £7,000 at auction.
The puppet – butler Parker, famed for saying “yes, m’lady” – is believed to date back to the 1990s.
It is thought to be one of only two that were made.
David Graham, 92, who has voiced Parker since 1965, got to meet the wood marionette yesterday and described the character as “lovable and popular”.
Auctioneers say the original puppet that featured in the ground-breaking 1960s TV series was bought by movie director Peter Jackson for £35,000.
The copy, going under the hammer on February 28 in Edinburgh, was never used on screen.
Both Parkers were created by puppeteer John Blundall who died in 2014.
