Cop helped animal fanatics free 6,000 mink in fur farm
AN undercover policewoman helped animal rights fanatics release up to 6,000 mink from a fur farm.
Scotland Yard revealed yesterday that one of its officers posed as a member of the Animal Liberation Front in the raid on Crow Hill Farm, Ringwood, Hants.

but no one was charged. Hampshire police were not told until 16 years later.
The officer, whose cover name was Christine Green, worked for former undercover unit the Special Demonstration Squad. She quit in August 2000. Assistant Commissioner Helen Ball said: “The Met Police has apologised to Hampshire Constabulary for the impact these decisions had on their ability to bring those responsible to justice.”
