HAVE FAITH IN BENIK

BENIK AFOBE has been backed to rapidly make his mark on Wolves’ Premier League push.

Afobe, who has rejoined the club on loan from Bournemouth, is yet to find the net in three substitute appearances.

But Wanderers are confident the striker, 25, (right) will make a big contribution.

Ahead of tonight’s Norwich clash, defender Matt Doherty said: “He’s come on a couple of times and almost scored twice. Once one goes in, it’ll only be a matter of time before he starts scoring. It’s not just on the pitch, it’s off the pitch also.

“I’ve never played in a better squad. If I did, I’d probably be in the Premier League already.”

Leaders Wolves have lost just once in 17 league games and the Irishman added: “It doesn’t make us take our foot off the gas – we wouldn’t be allowed to do that at all.

“We want to get as many points as we can, and get it over with as soon as possible.”
