GERMANS TARGETING SPURS KIDS

PAUL MITCHELL is ready to raid former club Tottenham after taking up his new role at RB Leipzig. Former Spurs and Southampton scout Mitchell (below) has become the German club’s new head of recruitment and development. Mitchell wants to take English youngsters to the Bundesliga, and his close links to Spurs may help him offer some of their talented gems regular games. Striker Reo Griffiths, 17, is one potential target after a prolific run in Spurs’ youth ranks. Any deals would exist purely on a loan basis to help with the youngsters’ development, in the same way Josh Onomah, 20, went to Aston Villa.
