‘Band to play Harry & Meghan wedding’
THE reunited Spice Girls look set to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding after Mel B let slip their secret invitation yesterday.
Scary, 42, revealed on US talk show The Real that she would be at the Windsor Castle ceremony on May 19. She mouthed: “Yeah, I’m going... I don’t know if I should have said that.” Host Jeannie May asked her: “Did you get an invitation?” and Mel replied: “Well, it was the five Spice Girls. Why am I so honest?”
When asked if the girls would be performing, Mel smiled broadly, before throwing her hands theatrically in the air adding: “I need to go. I’m going to be fired.” American actress Meghan, 36, is known to have been a huge fan of the Spice Girls, growing up on their hits including 2 Become 1 and Say You’ll Be There. And Harry, 33, met all the band in 1997 after being in the crowd for one of their concerts. Kensington Palace declined to comment last night.
