Luke wages war over Taylor pay
IPSWICH skipper Luke Chambers has slammed the PFA for paying Gordon Taylor over £2million – instead of funding research into head injuries.
Union chief Taylor received a £1m pay rise to £2.3m in 2016-17 – but the PFA is investing only £100,000 on a study into the long-term effects of heading a football.
Chambers said: “I don’t think we get much from the PFA to be honest.
“I’d certainly like to see more spent on research into head injuries and concussion. There is a lot of research in the United States for the NFL.”
