Don’t Bett against us
KEEPER Marcus Bettinelli reckons in-form Fulham can ride their wave of success all the way to automatic promotion.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s men have taken 33 points from a possible 39, since they lost at Sunderland on December 16.
And as they host Sheffield United tonight, just five points off secondplaced Cardiff, Bettinelli, 25, says they have their eyes on the top two.
He said: “We know it is going to be tough, but that is the way we are thinking.
“If no one wants to give us a chance this year to get second, that’s fine.
“I know it is really tight up there, but the boys are full of confidence.
“We are excited with the way we are playing, and we go into games knowing that, if we play our football, we will be frightening and score goals.
“We are not going to be silly, as we have a lot of teams chasing us. We know we are in a good place, but it doesn’t mean anything.”
Chris Wilder has challenged his Blades to prove he is wrong to write them off as promotion no-hopers.
The United boss dismissed his side’s chances of making the play-offs after they were beaten at Hull 11 days ago.
Wilder’s side are just two points adrift of sixth-placed Bristol City, but the manager said: “I have not changed my tune – yet.
“My attitude remains the same – all I am looking at is for this group of players to go again in every game between now and the end of the season.”
