Winter set to return with gales & snow
RAIN and strong winds are set to blow in over the next few days with the possibility of snow at the weekend, forecasters predict.
But they say the wintry weather with freezing temperatures in some areas won’t be as bad as the Beast from the East.
The Met Office’s Nicky Maxey said heavy rain and strong winds would move in on Wednesday and Thursday with the possibility of some flooding.
Colder weather is expected on Saturday with low temperatures and snow on Sunday.
Ms Maxey said: “It is going to be a cold spell, there is a chance some places on Sunday may struggle to get above freezing... so it is going to be cold, but not anywhere near what we had.”
