Dear reader, These days the world can often feel a bewildering place. The pace of change, the tidal wave of information and the roar of opinion can be exhausting. Which is why here at the Mirror we don’t just try to report what’s going on in the world - we try to help make sense of it all. We fight for what we believe in - like changing the law on organ donation and better support for our health service. And we stand up to those who try to cheat our readers; the tax evaders, the bullies and the billionaires. And we try to see the lighter side of life too. At the heart of everything are our readers who’ve stuck by us in thick and thin. For that we are truly grateful. And, by rights, loyalty should be rewarded.
