BETTER HANDS-DOWN Adam’s colourful, workable arms trump NHS offerings OUR only native species of crayfish may be saved from extinction after experts helped them breed in the wild.

The white-clawed crayfish faced dying out by 2030, hit by the spread of the invasive American signal crayfish.

Hundreds of captive-breds were freed in the River Irfon in mid-Wales and have now spawned a new generation.

Oliver Brown, of Natural Resources Wales, said: “Finding these wild-born offspring from our captive-reared programme proves this could be a valuable tool.” DEVOTED Adam and Tommy

PLAYTIME Tommy fist-bumps GRAFFITI artist Banksy has unveiled a 70ft-long mural in support of a painter who is in jail over a picture.

Zehra Dogan was reportedly sentenced to nearly three years in her homeland Turkey for her painting of a city there that was damaged by state security forces.

Banksy’s mural in New York shows Zehra’s face behind bars – the last bar being a pencil. The anonymous British artist said in a statement: “I really feel for her. I’ve painted things much more worthy of a custodial sentence.”
