ELLIOTT LANDS A BLOW

BLOW BY BLOW handed Gordon Elliott back-to-back triumphs and a second straight leading trainer title.

The success under Donagh Meyler was Elliott’s eighth during the four days, edging him past rival Willie Mullins.

“What a week,” smiled Elliott, who learned his trade with 15-time champion Pipe.

“I can’t believe it. Tuesday night, I would have gone home,” admitted Elliott, who drew a blank on the opening day. “What a difference a day makes.”
