POLICE said it was a “miracle” nobody was killed after a man drove a car into a busy nightclub.

At least 13 people were injured and the driver, aged 21, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Panicking clubbers, who were attending a performance by rapper Giggs, fled in terror after the man smashed the car into the smoking area.

He was pulled from the 4x4 by revellers and security staff, who detained him until police arrived. Det Chief Insp David Chewter said: “This was a frightening experience for everyone involved and it is a miracle that nobody was killed.”

Footage of the aftermath shows the silver Suzuki Vitara stopped on a dance floor, with guests rushing to get out.

The driver was reportedly kicked out of the nightclub, Blake’s, in Gravesend, Kent on Saturday night.

Radio 1Xtra DJ Reece Parkinson, who was at the club, tweeted: “A guy who didn’t get let in the club just drove his car inside and nearly killed us all. I can’t believe this.”

Police said some victims suffered broken bones but no injuries were life-threatening.
