‘Carjack duo’ trial is halted

THE trial of two alleged carjackers accused of attacking a former boxing champion has been halted.

Michael Watson, 53, was caught in a seatbelt as two men tried to steal his car on February 16 last year in Chingford, East London.

Simon Luck, 28, and Paul Samuels, 31, of East London, deny the attack and an earlier carjacking.

The jury was discharged for reasons that cannot be reported and a fresh trial will begin at Snaresbrook crown court in September.
