In the last five decades our diet has been transformed as we’ve gone from home-cooked meat and boiled veg to convenience foods, ready meals and snacks of every type.
Hard to believe we ever got such a thrill from mixing Smash powdered potato in a jug or picking out our absolute favourite flavour of Angel Delight (butterscotch, obviously).
Chef and restaurateur Simon Rimmer is our guide through this little trip down memory lane, and it will certainly start conversations in your household as you remember where you were when you first had a Zoom lolly, Ski Yoghurt or a glass of Blue Nun.
There is a bit of cultural history too, and Simon interviews everyone from the ad men and food scientists behind the brands, as well as celebs who share their foody memories.
