# It’s marvellous news that Guernsey could become the first place in the British Isles to have a suicide clinic – if it comes off (Mirror, March 21).
The medical establishment must stop seeing death as a failure, leaving those terminally ill to choose not to die horribly slowly with families and friends haunted by long drawn out deaths.
Give power and rights to individuals who have made a sane and logical decision that their life has come to an end.
My husband died at Dignitas on April 28 last year with me holding his hand. It was a “good” death, but he should have been allowed to do it here in the UK in his own home with all who love him there. Sara Starkey Tonbridge, Kent
# With the introduction of the “sugar tax” in April, I think the Government is looking at the wrong end of the problem when it comes to obesity. It is a lack of exercise to blame, with children indoors playing computer games and fewer sports at school. When I was young we were too active to get fat. Denys Hall Newark, Notts
# I quite agree with Dee Collins’ comments about Jeremy Clarkson and Nicole Scherzinger (#Madeuthink, March 19).
I can’t stand either of them and won’t watch any programme that they’re on. Sally Liaghat, Exeter
