Afellay told to stay at home
IBRAHIM AFELLAY has been told to stay away from Stoke’s training ground by boss Paul Lambert.
The Holland midfielder showed open dissent in training and Lambert will not even consider him, despite Charlie Adam’s three-match ban.
Stoke chairman Peter Coates backed Lambert and said: “We have standards we have to keep and expect people to keep and we obviously support the manager on such issues.”
Afellay, who has not played since Lambert replaced Mark Hughes in January, has made just six Premier League appearances this season.
