Line of Duty leads from front with most nods

HIT BBC drama Line of Duty tops the TV BAFTA shortlist this year with four nomination­s – including best drama series, best leading actress for Thandie Newton and best supporting actor for Adrian Dunbar.

The police drama is also up for the previously announced Virgin Must See Moment. The Crown, Three Girls and Black Mirror all received three nods.

Saturday Night Takeaway was nominated for best entertainm­ent days after Declan Donnelly hosted it alone. It takes on Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice, all on ITV, and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, on BBC1.

The Crown’s Claire Foy is nominated for leading actress, while the Netflix show is in the running for supporting actress (Vanessa Kirby) and drama series.

Molly Windsor (Three Girls) and Sinead Keenan (Little Boy Blue) are in the leading actress category.

The late Tim Pigott-Smith (King Charles III), Jack Rowan (Born To Kill), Joe Cole (Hang The DJ/Black Mirror) and Sean Bean (Broken) are up for lead actor.

Peaky Blinders (BBC2) and The End Of The F*****g World (All4) made the best drama shortlist.

The winners will be announced on May 13.
