Nine years.. no appearances

- BY BEN REBUCK

CHELSEA’S longest-serving player Matej Delac is leaving the club – having never made the first team.

The Blues have a reputation for farming out large numbers of squad players on loan – and keeper Delac, 25, is a prime example of that policy.

The Croatia Under-21 star signed for Chelsea nine years ago, and has since had 10 different loan spells.

He has never been registered for the Premier League, and will join Danish side AC Horsens when his contract at the Bridge expires in July.

Tomas Kalas, 24, will now be their longest-server. The Czech defender is one of 38 out on loan and currently at Fulham. He has played just twice for Chelsea since arriving in 2010.
