Two ar­rested as cab­bie dies af­ter ‘air­port car park row’

A TAXI driver has died fol­low­ing a heart at­tack af­ter an al­leged row in an air­port car park.

Wil­liam Brent Tay­lor, known to friends as Brent, was de­scribed as “one of the nicest peo­ple you could have met”.

The 57-year-old grandad, of Holme­wood, Ch­ester­field, Der­bys, is un­der­stood to have suf­fered a heart at­tack af­ter “re­ports of an as­sault” in the mul­ti­storey park­ing fa­cil­ity yes­ter­day at Manch­ester’s Ter­mi­nal 2.

Mr Tay­lor, who worked for pri­vate hire firm A-Line Taxis, died later in Wythen­shawe Hos­pi­tal. Two men, aged 55 and 26, were ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of man­slaugh­ter and re­main in cus­tody.

DCI Carl Jones, of Greater Manch­ester Po­lice, said: “Sev­eral wit­nesses are help­ing with our in­quiries.”
