Singer Timmy of Overtones dies aged 35
THE Overtones singer Timmy Matley has died aged 35 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Bandmates Mike Crawshaw, Mark Franks, Darren Everest and Lachie Chapman announced it online.
They posted: “We know this news will be as heartbreaking for you all as it is for us. We appreciate your love and support.”
The harmony group have had four Top 10 albums and often perform on This Morning.
Host Phillip Schofield said: “I’m so terribly sorry to hear this and sending lots of love to you all,”
Presenter Rylan ClarkNeal added: “Awful news. Sending love x #RipTimmy.”
Irish star Timmy found a lump under his arm in 2016 and was diagnosed with malignant melanoma.
