BBC’s licence to thrill

-

For some reason, the world-renowned BBC frequently comes under fire and yet, although we might not all be in favour of the licence fee, we have to admit that they go above and beyond the call of duty to bring us the events that we are interested in. This time it’s the Commonwealth Games from the Gold Coast in Australia.

Some politicians and media will no doubt be nit-picking and counting the cost of the number of presenters, camera crews, producers and all the logistics involved.

However, they should listen more to the public who are delighted to be able to watch these games from the comfort of their armchair. Tom Baxter, Denny, Falkirk
