KYLE EDMUND lost for the second time in three days with a first-round exit at the Monte Carlo Masters. A lacklustre start saw him trail 5-1 to Andreas Seppi and although he recovered, the Italian ran out 6-3 5-7 6-2 winner. British No.1 Edmund (left) had secured a career-high ranking of 23 after reaching his first ATP Tour final at the weekend in Marrakech, only to lose 6-2 6-2 to Pablo Andujar, 322 places below him.
