Time to go for the Burn

ARSENE WENGER’S final weeks in the Arsenal job will target finishing above Burnley – and avoiding a return to the Europa League.

The Gunners return home to face West Ham tomorrow after failing to win an away point this year.

Finishing sixth will guarantee Europa League football for Arsenal, even if Southampton win the FA Cup.

“Of course we want to finish in front of Burnley,” said Wenger.

“We still have to play them at home, but let’s win on Sunday first.”

Wenger said the Europa League had contributed to Arsenal’s poor away form although winning it will buy a ticket back into the Champions League.

They face a semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
