Stop knocking homeopathy
Having used homeopathy for various ailments for many years – including to aid the completely natural birth of my second son – I can vouch for the fact that it works. I obviously can’t say it cures every condition, but I take umbrage with the constant claims that there’s NO evidence that it’s effective.
Simon Stevens, head of NHS England, for example, reckons it’s “at best a placebo and a misuse of scarce NHS funds”.
Only £4.7million is spent on homeopathic remedies. The annual NHS drug spend is a massive £16billion.
Ten million needless antibiotic prescriptions are written every year – a large-scale “misuse of scarce NHS funds”, if ever there was one.
