Perhaps you can guess from the title, but the relationships in this drama are not hugely successful.
From screenwriter Abi Morgan (The Hour and The Iron Lady), this smart, entertaining and emotionally charged series focuses on break-ups in London – the divorce capital of the world.
Nicola Walker is leading divorce lawyer Hannah Stern, married (with kids) to Nathan (Stephen Mangan). She’s just walked out on the family firm, Defoe’s, where her mother and sister work, to join a rival company, resulting in a chilling level of frost at family functions.
Meanwhile, her father (Anthony Head) has turned up, last seen walking out on the family 30 years ago.
And there’s some wrangling over the case of a nasty millionaire who dumps his wife (Stephen Tompkinson and Meera Syal) and a bitter stand-up comedian (Mathew Baynton).
With a great cast, sizzling script and humour, this ticks all the boxes for an addictive new series.
