You can’t kid me, Giroud..

OLIVIER GIROUD’S goal for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton on Sunday was sensational.

But the technique he produced for the scorpion kick he scored for Arsenal against Crystal Palace in January 2017 means that is still the better goal.

The ball was behind him against Palace, he had a split second to lift up his foot and get a good connection.

Not only did he do that, he actually made perfect contact with the ball.

For all the great goals he gets, however, what still winds me up about him is the fact he’s a 6ft 4in unit who still goes down like a toddler at times.

Maybe Giroud’s legacy will be as a scorer of great goals rather than a great goalscorer.
