Gove ‘to ban lobster boil’

MICHAEL Gove may ban boiling lobsters alive, to the dismay of chefs.

The Environment Secretary is set to launch a consultation after pressure from campaigners.

The RSPCA and British Veterinary Association want welfare law to cover crabs and lobsters.

But suspicion over his motives has set a row bubbling among Tory MPs.

One Conservative Party source claimed: “It’s Michael’s latest crusade to woo the luvvies in his blatant leadership bid.”
