‘Bust by 30’ fear after uni
THE first graduates with £50,000-plus debts thanks to tuition fees are starting work with many fearing bankruptcy by 30.
Some 40% of university leavers feel they will never earn enough to pay off their debt, a poll for digital challenger bank B found.
And around 34% wish they had joined an apprentice scheme instead.
Meanwhile, Department for Education figures show graduates earned £10,000 more on average than nongraduates last year.
