HATRED Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon I was so sad to read of the terrible rift between Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel in your article, The Sound of Violence (Mirror, April 23).

As someone who grew up with their music in the 1960s it is heartbreaking to think it could all end like this. Together they created some of the most beautiful music ever made, such as Bridge Over Troubled Water. Surely two such creative, sensitive souls are capable of rising above their differences?
