KNOW YOUR BODY popliteal artery

-

The popliteal artery is the continuation of the femoral artery, the main blood vessel in your thigh. It’s located behind the knee and runs down the back of the leg. The popliteal artery supplies blood to the knee joint and the calf muscles of the lower leg.

You can feel the popliteal artery behind your knee if it is slightly bent at an angle of about 45 degrees. Once you find it you can use it to count your pulse.
