Alexander-Arnold: & now I’m on road

WHEN he saw the congratula­tory messages from his pals, Trent Alexander-Arnold laughed.

“They said I’ve now played more Champions League games than Everton,” he smiled. “That was quite funny. I enjoyed seeing that.”

Alexander-Arnold’s mates are not quite right and his 10 appearance­s equal rather than overtake Everton’s total.

“Oh, equal is it?” the defender (left) said when told of the error but, quick as a flash, added: “Oh well, hopefully I’ll play on Wednesday (against Roma). If I’m picked, it would be a good one to say then!”
