Burned pony saved by fish
A PONY burned by acid has had an op to heal her face – using fish skin.
Cinders, eight months, was found dumped in Chesterfield, Derbys, and taken to Rainbow Equine Hospital, North Yorks.
US vet Jamie Peyton flew in to do a skin graft after wellwishers raised £14,000.
His team used dressings made of fish skin to aid the growth of fresh tissue.
Vet David Rendle, from the hospital, said: “Extraordinary injuries called for extraordinary treatments.”
