Mother scrubs blood of tragic son Rhyhiem off the street
RHYHIEM Barton’s heartbroken mum returned to the spot where he was murdered to wipe his blood off the street yesterday.
The 17-year-old was the capital’s 63rd victim this year when he was killed in a drive-by shooting in Kennington, South London, on Saturday.
Devastated mum Pretana Morgan has called for a stop to the horrific violence, saying: “Let my son be the last.”
Her heartbreaking act came as locals revealed a boy of 13 shot in the head in a separate shooting a day later was going to a wedding.
The boy was hit by shotgun pellets in Harrow, North London, by attackers targeting a boy of 15, who also had head injuries.

Wayne Bent helped fan the 13-year-old as he waited for paramedics in the sweltering heat. He said: “He was wearing a T-shirt he was using to mop up blood on the back of his neck.”
One resident, who refused to be named, said: “I have heard the 13-year-old was attending a wedding and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Meanwhile, a teen was shot in the leg in the Clayton area of Manchester yesterday.
And a man in his late teens or early 20s was stabbed in Leytonstone, East London.
A man of 37 died after being stabbed in Macclesfield, Cheshire, on Sunday evening.
And a 20-year-old who died after a stabbing in Liverpool city centre on Sunday has been named as Fatah Warsame, from the Cardiff area.
