Drugs theft nurse ruled unfit to work
A NURSE has been struck off for stealing NHS prescription drugs and selling them to friends.
Cocaine-addict Amie Louise Heller, 31, was jailed for three years and eight months last year for taking the painkillers.
Preston crown court heard the mum of one felt “undervalued” due to “extreme shifts, on busy short-staffed wards” at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, in Lancs.
Heller, who posted glamorous selfies on Facebook showing her party lifestyle, confessed all to police.
Now the Nursing and Midwifery Council has ruled her fitness to practise is “currently impaired”.
Heller, of Ribchester, also had nine bags of cocaine, valued at £360.
