Flats jump up £75k in 5yrs
THE price of a flat has risen £1,250 a month over five years, research shows.
The average flat has shot up £75,074 since 2013 to £232,135 in 2018.
In London prices have nearly doubled to £393,235.
Terraced or semidetached homes are more popular but flats increased the most in value – up 48%.
Terraced homes are the best value at £208,311.
Russell Galley, of Halifax, said: “More than a third of first-time buyers are choosing terraced homes.”
