WW1 chocs go for tasty £3k
NINE 103-year-old chocolate bars and mementos have sold for £3,000.
The treats were in gift tins sent to troops in Ypres, northern France, in 1915.
They originally belonged to Cpl Richard Bullimore, of Leicestershire Regiment, who later joined the police and died in 1967.
They were sold by Eddisons CJM in Scunthorpe, Lincs, and spokeswoman Jo Coote said: “The chocolate looks in pretty good shape but I wouldn’t be tempted.”
