Bold briefs encounter

-

MORE4, 9pm

FROM its sizzling cast to its bold American politics, this has been one of the best dramas on television.

Far better than its predecessor The Good Wife – with the largely irritating wooden actor that was Julianna Margulies – this sequel is a blast of fresh air in the schedules.

With Christine Baranski, Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele and British actress Cush Jumbo as the feisty lawyers at Reddick, Boseman and Lockhart, the fast-paced plots take to task President Trump and fake news.

Did you see the episode when the lawyers worked out how best to impeach the President?

What about the storyline involving an alleged golden shower tape of Trump?

Yes, this is audacious and outrageous, but also funny.

If you haven’t been watching, it’s well worth seeking out on catch-up, but for fans, tonight is the series finale and there’s a lot going on.

Lucca Quinn ( Jumbo) is in court, bravely battling through a cross examination while going into labour – two weeks early.

Her doctor is away. On-off partner Colin (Justin Bartha) is in DC. The mother-in-law is on route. Not good.

Meanwhile, everyone in lawyer world is stunned that baby Quinn is not arriving on schedule according to their calendars.

Elsewhere, Diane (Baranski) is quizzed by the FBI as part of a job background check on Kurt, and Adrian and Julius join a think tank about the Kill All Lawyers problem.

Packing a punch right until the final scene, listen out for an amusing surprise in the final credits too.
