Net loss for the poorest
TORY cuts axed more than 3,000 internet-access computers from libraries, Labour will reveal today.
The poor and elderly are hardest hit as they rely on public terminals, which fell to 31,647 in England in 2017 from 34,794 in 2016, House of Commons Library research shows.
Shadow Libraries Minister Kevin Brennan said: “This fall is particularly harmful when the Government is demanding vulnerable people apply for state support online.”
