FLEETWOOD’S GOT HIS TIGER STRIPES
TOMMY FLEETWOOD says taming the Tiger Woods circus at Augusta was final proof that he’s ready to be a serious Major contender. The Southport star, 27, (left) will tee up at the US Open on Thursday, eager to show he’s come a long way from his big break last year at Erin Hills. His stunning fourth-place finish was a huge step forward. But playing with Tiger Woods for the first two days of this year’s US Masters proved he can handle a media storm. Fleetwood said: “It was an amazing time to be drawn with Tiger. I enjoyed it and that’s important as it all comes down to being comfortable, able to relax and focus on your own game.”
