ENGLAND striker Alan Shearer came out fighting after scoring in the 1-1 draw with Bulgaria in the Euro 2000 qualifier.

Shearer said he was fed up with the criticism aimed at him and snapped: “I must be the only player who gets stick for having an international record of one goal every two games. I’ve been knocked for years but my record speaks for itself.”
