TV Love Island shock as favourite Niall quits for ‘personal reasons’
LOVE Island contestant Niall Aslam has left the reality show villa for “personal reasons”.
Niall was one of the favourites to win. Another resident, A&E doctor Alex George, 27, broke the news to the others in last night’s show on ITV2. He said: “For personal reasons, unfortunately, he can’t continue or come back to the villa.” Georgia Steel, who was coupled up with Niall, 23, a builder from Coventry, said: “Obviously I came closer to him than most people in here. But it wasn’t just that. He was actually my friend, my buddy.”
Georgia, 20, a drama student living in Chelsea, added: “I’m obviously sad. I look forward to catching up with him and having fun outside.”
There were fireworks last night when Geordie fitness trainer Adam Collard, 22, made a move on Megan Barton Hanson, 24, a model from Essex. He told her things were cooling between him and Rosie Williams, 26, who was too clingy and “hovers around” him. Megan passed that news on to her pal Rosie, a solicitor from Wales, who confronted Adam in front of the rest of the group, telling him he “should have had the balls” to tell her himself.
