LAH TI DAR IS OUT OF ASCOT

- BY DAVID YATES

LAH TI DAR will miss Thursday’s Ribblesdale Stakes after being ruled out of Royal Ascot by John Gosden (below).

The unbeaten daughter of Dubawi — who was forced to miss the Oaks when 2-1 favourite — has taken longer than expected to recover from the bug that caused her Epsom absence.

Simon Marsh, racing manager to Lah Ti Dar’s owners, Lord Andrew and Lady Madeleine Lloyd Webber, said: “She’s absolutely fine, but it has just come too quick — John hasn’t been able to get the work into her that he would have wanted. “It has taken her longer to get over what was bothering her before the Oaks, but there will be races for her in the next few weeks.” WESLEY WARD reported American challenger Lady Aurelia “ready to go” as she bids for a hat-trick of Royal Ascot triumphs in the King’s Stand Stakes on Tuesday. Lady Aurelia won the five-furlong Group 1 last year — she landed the Queen Mary Stakes in 2016 — and Ward said: “She’s getting bigger and stronger — she’s ready to go.”
