Once you clap eyes on a scoop of cookie dough adorned with marshmallo­ws and sprinkles (they call it Unicorn Food), you’ll be rooting for new business Naked Dough – or at least, rooting through your freezer for some ice cream.

Founders Jen and Hannah gave up their jobs to launch the idea, the latest trend in America. Flavours include Nak-Ed Sheeran (salted caramel and honeycomb) and Nuttin’ Better (peanut butter and peanut nibs), and they believe the brand could take on ice cream for a sweet treat. But is it too sickly to keep customers coming back for more?

Elsewhere, husband and wife team Liz and Stew have created Black Bear Burger, but their burgers will need an X factor in an already saturated market.
