WHOLE NEW BRAWL GAME

A MASS brawl disrupted a basketball World Cup qualifier between Australia and the Philippines, with 13 players sent off.

A fight broke out (left) in the third quarter of the match in Bocaue, north of Manila, with players punching and kicking each other. Other players from the Filipinos’ bench hurdled the hoardings to get involved. In one scuffle, on the floor behind the hoardings at one end of the court, Australia’s Nathan Sobey was hit with a chair.

After a lengthy delay, four Australians were kicked out of the game along with nine Filipinos. The Philippines were left with just three players and they eventually fouled out to give Australia an automatic 89-53 win.
