Boost to NHS ‘is unfunded’
TAX rises or spending cuts are needed to finance a £20billion NHS boost, a watchdog has warned.
The Office for Budget Responsibility blasted PM Theresa May’s claim that a “Brexit dividend” could fund her promised rise.
It said without tax and spending changes, public sector net debt could soar from 80% of GDP in 2022 to almost 283% by 2067.
