Sheer grit of migrant kids

IMMIGRANT children show more “grit and determination” than “native” kids, say researchers.

Data from 4,500 immigrant children was tracked by the University of Bristol and London School of Economics academics.

Bristol’s Prof Simon Burgess said: “People who emigrate are more aspirational and risk-taking.”

This is passed on to their children, he said, and shows in school work.
