Rowett to keep Jack in his box
STOKE boss Gary Rowett will fight to keep England star Jack Butland.
The keeper reported for pre-season training yesterday after being given extended leave this summer.
He was part of the England squad which reached the World Cup semi-finals and has been linked with Chelsea. But Rowett said: “I don’t believe rumours. I understand good players are going to be linked with good clubs, which is great. It shows the level of player we have got here.
“Jack travels to St Pauli in Germany and will start Saturday’s friendly.”
