Plea for calm on dad killing

POLICE appealed for calm after a man was charged with manslaughter following a dad’s death.

Stephen Walsh, 37, was found at his home on Monday, the day after he was in a car crash nearby.

He had suffered serious head injuries in an assault at home on Sunday night.

Oliver Brown, 21, of Mapperley, Nottingham, is due before the city’s magistrates today. Police urged the community “not to seek retribution against Oliver and his family”.
